Is energy a personal issue or a public issue?

Much of our energy consumption is used through transportation. Our idea of transportation in the US is driving in a car. We have gas available to us cheaply and are dependent on it. Our public issue is of energy that we are personally over-consuming.

This problem is that our energy is too cheap for our own good. The cheaper it is to use the easyer it is to forget about wasting it. We are stuck in a sticky situation, politics!!!

Politicians are first and foremost one thing, crooks. These swindling bastards will screw anyone over just so they can remain in office. They are forced now either to make the choice to tax private transit so it is near manditory to travel by mass transit, creating a more effecitent ways of travel, or allow the market to take care of itself. What should they do? I don't know! Do you? Well, okay wise guy comment below.
