-We will be calculating the kwh/day/person of the U.S assuming that 10% of Arizona is covered completely in panels.
- We will assume our panels are 10% efficient.
The map below shows solar energy distributions in kwh/m^2/day. As you can see, Arizona has one of the highest concentrations in the county. We will be using 7.5 kwh/m^2/day
The calculation for the PV farms is pretty straight forward:
Area of Arizona=2.95e11 m^2
10% of Land Area of Arizona = 3e10 m^2
(3e10)(7.5*0.1) = 2.25e11 kwh/day
2.25e11 kwh/day * 1/3.1e8 people = 72.5 kwh/person/day
