Red Stack: Lights

The average American home has 40 light sockets.  Using McKay assumptions and assuming half are incandescent bulbs and half are high efficiency, the calculation becomes:

20 incandescent bulbs = 10 kWh
20 low-energy = 1 kWh

Assume 4 people per house so

So the final count is 11 kWh/4 = 2.75 kWh/person/day
